MANCHESTER, Jamaica – The Manchester police have confirmed a shooting incident in the Spalding area of Manchester last night, which left one man dead and another in hospital.
The dead man has been identified as 28-year-old Kirk Porter.
Reports are that Porter and the another man were having drinks at a bar about 9:15 pm when two gunmen entered and opened fire hitting them.
Porter reportedly ran from the scene and subsequently fell into an open water tank.
According to the police, they are now awaiting post-mortem reports to determine his cause of death.
The injured man is reportedly in critical but stable condition at hospital.
Police told OBSERVER ONLINE that they are investigating reports that the incident was “scamming-related.”
