KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man was on Sunday charged for the murder of a Roman Catholic priest, Father Charles Brown, which occurred on Monday, July 29, 2013.
He is 31-year-old Rohan Deacon of Phase one, Seaview Gardens, Kingston 11.
Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that Deacon, who was listed as a person of interest, was picked up in Clarendon on Thursday, February 19. He was formally charged on Sunday, March 1, by investigators probing the priest’s murder.
The decomposing body of Brown was found in bushes with multiple stab wounds on the Plantation Heights main road in St Andrew.
Deacon is scheduled to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday, March 6.
