Tomorrow evening, Countryside Club will host its first Valentine's Day Dinner and Party since reopening in November 2013. Dubbed Shades of Blue, it is a combination of a three-course meal (with a complimentary glass of wine), performance and party to recorded music.

It is fortuitous that the annual day for matters of the heart falls on a Saturday, as Marcia Lawrence said that makes it easier for Countryside to host the event. The name, Shades of Blue, comes from a movie premiere and the club's strategy to make all who want to come to the Courtney Walsh Drive, St Andrew venue comfortable.
Therefore, there is no red in the title.
"So many say they don't have a Valentine, so we want them to be comfortable to come," Lawrence said.
"If you have your Valentine, fine; if you don't, come same way."
The 'Shades' is related to the Jamaican debut for the film 50 Shades of Grey, coming out of the popular erotic books with the same title. more
