ST CATHERINE, Jamaica -- The St Catherine South police are keeping a watch on a section of Waterford in Portmore, where a woman was gunned down by armed thugs on Monday.
Police reports are that at about 11am they were called to a section called Boston after residents reported hearing gunfire and raised an alarm.
Police later arrived and carried out a search of the area and the bullet riddled body of the female found.
The name of the woman was not released.
Head of the St Catherine South Police Division, Noel Christie has confirmed the incident.
"We have received reports about the attack but at this time are unable to give any details about the incident or provide a motive for the attack," said Christie. more
