KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Detectives from the Major Investigations Task Force (MIT) on Tuesday issued an appeal for people with information on two murders involving members of the music production fraternity to come forward.
According the the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) the appeal comes "as detectives... continue to intensify investigations into criminal activities being perpetrated by and against persons from the musical fraternity".

The detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed, or has any pertinent information relating to the shooting deaths of Joel Chin and Patrick ‘Roach’ Samuels.
Samuels, a popular figure in the entertainment industry, was gunned down at the intersection of Mannings Hill Road and Constant Spring Road in St Andrew on September 16, 2013. Meanwhile, Chin, a music producer and the grandson of VP Records founder, was shot dead at his home in Stony Hill, St Andrew in August 2011, the police say.
