By Walter Last
According to psychological studies and statistics in the longer term the vast majority of sexual relationships cause more distress and unhappiness rather than happiness. It is obvious, at least to me, that stress due to failing relationships also has a major impact on our health, emotionally and biologically. Even medical thinking now regards stress as an underlying problem that aggravates all other diseases.

Sexual factors that may contribute to health problems are nutrient deficiencies, hormonal and bio-energetic imbalances, and emotional distress. Several of these may be involved in any one case, and they cannot always be identified.
Nutrient deficiencies relate mainly to loss of ejaculate. The seminal fluid is high in zinc and requires much vitamin B6 and omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in fish oils and linseed oil. Deficiency of these is widespread, especially in teenage boys with frequent loss of seminal fluid. The same deficiencies are common in schizophrenia, which starts most frequently in teenage boys. I believe that there is a causal connection.
Formerly doctors maintained that excessive masturbation could lead to insanity. They may have been right after all although, without proper investigation, modern medicine dismisses this as a myth. Zinc deficiency also leads to underdeveloped male sexual organs and later in life to enlargement of the prostate gland. By pointing out these connections I do not want to create guilt about masturbation but rather improve nutritional awareness. Also orgasm and schizophrenia are both associated with high and unstable levels of dopamine, while during depression dopamine levels are low.
A medical arthritis specialist observed that arthritis tends to get worse with frequent ejaculation (Arthritis can be Cured by Bernard Aschner, MD, The Julian Press, 1957, or Arco Publ. N.Y.).
Hormonal imbalances, especially dopamine excess or deficiency seem to be the greatest contributors to addictive behaviours, such as drug abuse, compulsive behavior and gambling as well as aggression, violence and attention deficit disorder. Oxytocin, on the other hand, has a beneficial influence on these problems. For a referenced discussion of this subject see http://www.reuniting.info/science/sex_and_addiction.
The main factor in raising our stress levels is probably the inability to discharge bio-energetic static. One common example is watching exciting movies that fire us up, and then going to bed without releasing the induced tension. It is likewise with conventional sex. Initially the body may get charged with skin stimulation and anticipation, but then there is little release, especially for women, if the union lasts for less than 30 minutes. No wonder many women develop emotional problems and gynaecological or nervous complaints, or just switch off and abstain from sex. Men, being less emotionally aware, may just develop physical symptoms instead, such as hypertension, heart disease, prostate problems or impotence. more

North Miami Beach Police Use Mug Shots Of African-Americans For Target Practice..."The public thinks there should be one woman and one white man and one black, but that's not really what test is about," Katerman said. "We have targets of all races."

The Huffington Post |  By Michael McLaughlin Email Posted: 01/15/2015 8:29 pm ES
Officers from a South Florida police department are drawing fire after getting caught using photos of real-life suspects for target practice.
View image on TwitterCritics told NBC South Florida, which first reported the controversy, that the North Miami Beach cops are racially insensitive because the six mug shots used at the firing range feature only African-American suspects.  A Florida National Guard sergeant arrived at the shooting range on a Saturday last month for training and recognized her brother's 15-year-old booking photo among the bullet-riddled targets left behind by North Miami Beach police officers, the station said.
Major Kathy Katerman told HuffPost that the department has multiple lineups for target practice. Some feature only white men, others are all Latino and one features photos of only women.
"The public thinks there should be one woman and one white man and one black, but that's not really what test is about," Katerman said. "We have targets of all races."
Police Chief Scott Dennis told NBC South Florida that officers used poor judgment. No one would be punished, however, Dennis said.
The misstep was reminiscent of a flap in 2013 over a Port Canaveral, Florida police sergeant who was fired for distributing targets of Trayvon Martin for shooting practice. Martin was the 17-year-old unarmed teenager who was followed and fatally shot by George Zimmerman in February 2012. more

Body Of Woman, Carmen Yarira Esparza Noriega, a 27-year-old psychology graduate Missing For 10 Months Found In Apartment Water Tank

The Huffington Post |  By Hilary Hanson Email Posted: 01/15/2015 11:21 am EST
The body of a woman missing for almost a year was found floating in an apartment building’s water tank in Mexico City.
carmenCarmen Yarira Esparza Noriega, a 27-year-old psychology graduate and aspiring actress, was reported missing last February, according to Fox News Latino. Family and friends feared the woman had been kidnapped and forced into a sex trafficking ring, according to Mexican newspaper El Milenio. “But it seems,” her friend, 30-year-oldJavier Paz, told the Daily Mail, “that her body was back in her apartment block the whole time.”
Three weeks ago, residents at the Grand Chapuletepec, where Esparza Noriega had lived, began complaining about the taste of the tap water. An investigation found that inside the tank was a severely decomposed body, which officials were able to identify as the missing woman by her breast and hip implants.
A police spokesman told the Daily Mail that investigators are attempting to determine her cause of death. more

IN JAMAICA: MURDER-SUICIDE, Woman cop, 28-year-old Pagiet Davie among two killed in suspected murder-suicide...."She was a person who was determined; she loved life and she was goal-oriented"

BY KIMMO MATTHEWS Observer staff reporter matthewsk@jamaicaobserver.com  Friday, January 16, 2015
A female police corporal and her male partner were yesterday killed in what was suspected to be a case of murder-suicide.
The bodies of 28-year-old Pagiet Davie and her common-law partner, Sheldon Douse, were found at their Fairview Park home with gunshot wounds in the morning.
01Police theorised that Douse killed Davie in her sleep before turning the gun on himself. They leave behind a three-year-old son.
The incident left relatives, friends and colleagues of the slain cop in shock.
"All now I cannot believe that something like this happen. All now I feel as if I am dreaming. This can't be real!" exclaimed on unidentified family member who was on the scene.
But the news was particularly difficult to absorb for Davie's mother, 53-year-old Pauline White, who said that she could not have imagined that when her daughter visited her home last Friday, it would be her last time.
"We didn't talk about a lot of things. She had just stopped by the house to say hello and to see if I was okay as she normally does," said White, tears streaming down her face as her gaze switched between her now orphaned grandson playing with a toy truck and a photo of her daughter in happier times.
"She was a person who was determined; she loved life and she was goal-oriented. All now I can't believe that something like this happened. When the year started I never envision anything like this," White told the Jamaica Observer. more

Gangsters causing unease in Kingston Western police division...following the shooting death of two men, including a gang leader on Wednesday. Killed were 40-year-old Brian Belnavis and 37-year-old Ricardo Kerr, who went by the alias 'Shabba'

Friday, January 16, 2015
A tense calm prevailed in the Kingston Western police division yesterday following the shooting death of two men, including a gang leader on Wednesday.
Crime scene (Observer file photo)
In the first incident, 40-year-old Brian Belnavis was shot and killed by gunmen at about 4:00 pm while he was driving a motorcycle through sections of the community. About three hours later, in what was suspected to be a reprisal killing, 37-year-old Ricardo Kerr, who went by the alias 'Shabba', was attacked and shot by gunmen while he was at a shop in the neighbouring community of Jones Town. The gunmen fled the community.
Steve McGregor, senior superintendent in charge of the police division, said yesterday that residents in the community were on edge, but sought to assure them that they had nothing to fear.
"Police are moving to clamp down on any possible violent flare-up so we want to assure the residents," McGregor said. "We want to call on members of the community to not take matters into their [own] hands but to allow the police to do their job."
Meanwhile, McGregor also disclosed that there was unease in Denham Town as a result of fighting among gangs. more

15 Tips For Healthier Meals In 2015....1) Start your day with breakfast 2) Consume three to six meals each day 3) Eat or drink at least five servings of YOUR favourite fruits and vegetables every day 4) Eat at least quarter-cup of peas and, or beans daily and increase as tolerated 5) Consume at least one small handful of nuts (raw, roasted/ baked) every day & MORE....

Marsha N. Woolery, Contributor Published: Wednesday | January 14, 2015
Another year has begun, plans and decisions have been made - 'I will go to church', 'I will be a better friend, parent, spouse', 'I will eat healthier, exercise, take my medication as prescribed' - and the list goes on and on and on.
Breakfast
When planning to make changes, it is important to be aware of the real reason the change is desired. Ask yourself, 'Will this change benefit me?' Rate the benefit on a scale of one to 10 - 'What is the level of importance?'
The more important the change is to YOU, the more likely YOU are to succeed at making this desired change.
Many of us in 2015 have decided to prepare and consume healthier meals and snacks, but I believe it is important to assess our eating habits to be aware of the real changes that need to be made. Most times than not, it is just a few things that we need to adjust in order to make healthier food choices.
Here are some practical tips towards healthier eating in 2015:
Nuts
1 Start your day with breakfast. Break your fast with healthy fooditems, a mixture of at least one food from two food groups. For example, milk (cow's or soy) and bread/ crackers/oats, fruit and nuts. Carbohydrates from the bread and fruit provide energy to jump-start the day and the milk and nuts provide protein to prevent the hunger that occurs mid-morning or a few hours after waking up.
2 Consume three to six meals each day. The number and size of meals consumed depend on your preference, physical activity, illness, medications and recommendations from a trained and registered medical professional. Eating more often (four to six times per day) also means consuming less or breaking up 'regular-sized' meals into smaller amounts.
Fruits
3 Eat or drink at least five servings of YOUR favourite fruits and vegetables every day. One serving is half-cup fruit or half-cup cooked vegetables or half-cup unsweetened juice. Use vegetable and fruits to add colour to your meals or snacks. The more colours consumed during the day means a healthier body.
4 Eat at least quarter-cup of peas and, or beans daily and increase as tolerated. String beans do NOT count as peas and beans because of immature or 'young' beans inside of pod. String bean is considered a vegetable. more

HAPPY 86Th BIRTHDAY, To Activist, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968)

HAPPY 86Th BIRTHDAY, To Activist, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) - Arguably, the one name, most synonymous with Black Civil Rights in America, is that of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He literally moved an entire nation to action during the 1960s, with his nonviolent approach to protesting the injustices inflicted upon Black Americans. During his lifetime -- Despite being beaten, stabbed, stoned, jailed and threatened daily -- Dr, King remained committed to the concept of Peace.In1964, at age 34, he became the youngest person to with the Nobel Peace Prize. As a speaker, he was equally as impressive. His "I Have A Dream" speech, delivered at the 1963, March On Washington, is considered one of the greatest orations of the 20th century.Dr. King was murdered April 4, 1968 in Memphis, TN. To date, he is the ONLY BLACK AMERICAN TO HAVE A NATIONAL HOLIDAY IN HIS HONOR.

Nearly half of young JAMAICAN'S would give up citizenship - for foreign opportunities, says UWI study.... "Further yet, 60 per cent believe that the country is not being managed effectively and 62 per cent noted that the current leaders do not have the capacity to manage the country's affairs,"

Thursday, January 15, 2015
A University of the West Indies (UWI) study has found that nearly half of Jamaica's young people would be willing to give up their citizenship, most for better opportunities in another country.
According to the researchers, more effort is needed to
address the decaying values and attitudes among Jamaica’s
 youth population.
The National Youth Values and Attitudes Survey, which was conducted in April last year by UWI's Centre for Leadership and Governance (CLG), found that 43.2 per cent of respondents below age 18 would be willing to relinquish their Jamaican citizenship while nearly half the number of young adults, 49.3 per cent, indicated that they would.
The survey targeted 1,000 Jamaican youths from ages 14 to 25 from a total youth population of 627,026. It covered Jamaica's 14 parishes and carries a margin of error of four per cent and a confidence level of 95 per cent, according to CLG.
Meanwhile, the survey also found that only 35 per cent of youths viewed politicians as being important. This compares to value of family (98 per cent), attending school (98 per cent), hard work (99 per cent), educational attainment (98 per cent), and attending church was (88 per cent). Additionally, 78 per cent of the respondents value leisure activities and 76 per cent and 77 per cent, respectively holding the view that friends and intimate partners are important.
"Further yet, 60 per cent believe that the country is not being managed effectively and 62 per cent noted that the current leaders do not have the capacity to manage the country's affairs," the CLG noted. more

'Look Out, I'm Coming To Take My Country Back' JAMAICA..25-year-old Shantelee Brown, who repeatedly declares her unequivocal love for her country, is a university student in the United States..."Tell the criminals to be on the lookout because I'm coming to take my country back," she added. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

A young Jamaican woman studying overseas with her eyes set on combatting hoodlums and fighting criminality at the highest level is urging Government to address ills identified in a survey carried out by the Centre for Leadership and Government at the University of the West Indies that Jamaican youths are coming up at the short end of the stick.

With the survey showing that, if given the opportunity, the majority of Jamaicans between ages 14 and 25 would readily leave the land of their birth to seek opportunities in foreign lands, Shantelee Brown, who says she falls in that category of youths, has described herself as a "refugee from rural Jamaica".
Limited Career Choices
The 25-year-old who repeatedly declares her unequivocal love for her country, is a university student in the United States. She told The Gleaner that limited career choices in universities across the country have forced her from her homeland.
"I am the kind of girl who loves a good challenge, and so, I would also like to create history by becoming Jamaica's first female national security minister," said Brown. "Tell the criminals to be on the lookout because I'm coming to take my country back," she added.
Brown lamented that critical courses in forensic psychology; speech language pathology; biomedical engineering; criminology; foreign service; industrial engineering; information systems; manufacturing engineering; neuroscience; software engineering and respiratory therapy are not available.
"For example, in high school, they don't teach how to cite work using Modern Language Association/American Psychology Association (MLA /APA) format in Jamaica," said Brown.
"It's impossible to compete for employment in a global market with the limited career choices offered to us through our colleges," added Brown, who is studying psychology at City University of New York. more

An attorney for Chloe Goins said after the meeting that his client is the first woman accusing Cosby of sexual misconduct whose case may fall within the statute of limitations. More than 15 women have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct, including several who say the comedian drugged and raped them in incidents dating back at least four decades.
Goins did not speak during a press conference Wednesday. Her attorney, Spencer Kuvin, said she came forward after hearing about other women describing abuse by Cosby and realizing she might have a valid criminal case. An email to Cosby's attorney, Marty Singer, was not immediately returned.

SKULLY HOP to MOVE OVER GULLY BOP....Another Jamaican artiste rises from out of the Gully

We are not joking, check out the latest YouTube video that has been making the rounds on social media. It was recorded downtown, Kingston by the 151 Show and the almost toothless, homeless artiste could very well find himself enjoying some perks like his predecessor.
Jamaica is not the only place that has seen fortune smiling on talented people down and out on their luck. Remember in the USA, the story on the "Man with the Golden Voice" Ted Williams.

Like Gully Bop, the once-homeless Williams life made a 360 degree turn after his youtube video went viral.
We know Gully Bop has been calling for a clash with Ninjaman, Alkaline and Black Rhyno. Check out this video and see Skully Hop in action. We have to admit that he could give Gully Bop some serious competition in a one on one, free style 'Gully Music' competition. That would be the real Gully Man clash to see for 2015.

ANNOTTO BAY, St Mary : Police kill man who shot dead woman, lover in jealous rage....Police said Camille 'Munch' Bell, a resident in Annotto Bay, and Miguel Campbell, aka called 'Blacks' of Aleppo, Highgate, were allegedly shot and killed by Oneil Anderson... The shooting reportedly took place in full view of one of the woman's two children.

Tuesday, January 13, 2015
ANNOTTO BAY, St Mary — A man who was yesterday accused of the shooting death of the mother of one of his children and her lover in an apparent jealous rage, was later shot and killed after a confrontation with the police.
Cop
Police said Camille 'Munch' Bell, a resident of Merry Trust Lane here in Annotto Bay, and Miguel Campbell, otherwise called 'Blacks' of Aleppo, Highgate, also in the parish, were allegedly shot and killed by Oneil Anderson about 3:30 yesterday morning.
Anderson, police said, allegedly broke into Bell's home which she shares with her children and shot the woman and her boyfriend who was visiting. The shooting reportedly took place in full view of one of the woman's two children. The child reportedly ran to his grandmother's home nearby after which the police were called and the couple's body discovered.
The police reported that while conducting a search for the suspect later in the morning officers were allegedly attacked by Anderson with a machete and was shot by the police. He was taken to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Community members said Bell broke off a relationship with Anderson after he was arrested and charged with murder more than a year ago. Anderson, they claimed, returned to the community and wanted to continue after he was acquitted of the murder charge, but the woman refused.
One resident claimed that Bell had complained that she had received threats from Campbell because she refused his advances.
"She tell mi she have to go take out a restraining order against him," the man told Jamaica Observer. However, it could not be confirmed if this was done.
Bell, who was a vendor, was yesterday described as a very quiet person. more

More Than 85,000 Haitians Are Still Homeless From The 2010 Earthquake after an earthquake killed more than 200,000 people and left unprecedented damage to Haiti's housing infrastructure...the United Nations has recorded about $13.34 billion in donated funds for Haiti reconstruction through 2020.

The Huffington Post  |  By Robbie Couch Email Posted: 01/12/2015 2:17 pm EST
Five years ago, an earthquake killed more than 200,000 people and left unprecedented damage to Haiti's housing infrastructure -- damage that the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere is still struggling to reverse.
Young child comforted
According to a new report by Amnesty International, there are 85,432 people in Haiti (comprising 22,741 households) who remain homeless because of the 2010 earthquake. As the report explains, the natural disaster exposed the dire state of housing in Haiti, where a large portion of people had lived in substandard homes that were built by residents using inadequate materials and poor construction techniques.
Living in rubble
"Five years ago, the eyes of the world were on Haiti after the devastating earthquake tore lives apart and left more than 2 million people homeless," Chiara Liguori, Caribbean researcher at Amnesty International, said. "Sadly, since then, the world’s interest has waned while tens of thousands of people remain destitute and homeless."Although the number of people living in displacement camps has dropped over 90 percent since July 2010, the majority of those who left are still not living in durable housing, the report notes -- many have moved back into unsafe structures or began construction on their own homes without expert assistance.
As NBC News reported, at least 200,000 people reside in slums known as Canaan-Jerusalem, where there's no electricity, running water or sanitation system in place. more

IN JAMAICA: It’s War! NEPA boss Peter Knight, accuses Negril breakwater opponents of waging campaign to mislead public

Tuesday, January 13, 2015
THE verbal war over the planned installation of a reef protection system in Negril reached fever pitch over the weekend with Peter Knight, chief executive officer of the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA), accusing the project’s opponents of waging a campaign “to mislead and confuse the public”.
Front cover of today's paperIn fact, Knight said the letter-writing campaign, by whom he  termed “selected stakeolders”, was also designed to “denigrate the evidence-based and science-based decision” arrived at by NEPA and the Natural Resources Conservation Authority to ahead with the breakwater project.
Knight was basically responding to a letter from Jane Issa published in last Wednesday’s Jamaica Observer. Issa had said that the proposed breakwater project “would require 14 months of 24/7 hard-core construction requiring a ‘construction stage’ at the mouth of the river in the centre of town with a crane and barge”.
01She also argued that breakwater boulders bring dust and debris to the location where they are being placed and would need ongoing maintenance after completion.
“They also attract algae, which will eventually smother the reef and multiply inside the breakwaters coming ashore, creating odour and contaminating the water,” Issa wrote. “Further, breakwater boulders have been known to tumble and roll during hurricanes. more
