A man from Norwood, St James, is scheduled to face the court next month after he allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl in his community last Saturday.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit said yesterday that the 22-year-old accused was on Monday charged with abduction, sexual touching, grievous sexual assault, and rape.
Reports from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse in St James are that about 12:30 pm, the child was walking along a road when she was allegedly abducted by a man and sexually assaulted.
He is to appear in the St James Parish Court on March 3.
