SURRENDER (St. Catherine Murder-Arson Suspect) : MARVIN ‘Fat Man’ Campbell, who was wanted by the police‘ for killing of 5. Person of interest’ in March Pen massacre turns himself in Surrender!

Thursday, October 13, 2016 Excerpt from Jamaica Observer

MARVIN ‘Fat Man’ Campbell, who was wanted by the police for incest and later listed as a ‘person of interest’ in last Sunday morning’s grisly March Pen Road attack which left three children and two women dead in Spanish Town, St Catherine, surrendered to the police yesterday.
CAMPBELL… was accompanied by pastor
Campbell turned himself over to members of the high command at the Office of the Commissioner of Police accompanied by Bishop Rowan Edwards.
Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, head of the Corporate Communications Unit, told the Jamaica Observer last night that the police were making arrangements for Campbell to be questioned this morning.
She also reported that he was handed over to senior investigators from the Major Investigations Division (MID) and was being processed. Campbell was asked to surrender to police by midday on Monday following Sunday’s gruesome murder-arson attack in which his (Campbell’s) son also died.
The victims — Salesha Evans, 24, and her nine-year-old son Revaughn Evans; Venisha Bartley, 22, and her two-year-old daughter Koyandra Wynter; and 14-year-old Marvin Campbell Jr were reportedly shot and killed while in their homes, which were then set ablaze by gunmen.
It was reported that a group of heavily armed men, estimated about 15, including some dressed like police and wearing masks, went to a section of the community called Africa Settlement about 1:40 am, kicked in the doors of four houses and opened fire, hitting seven occupants, before setting the houses on fire.
A man and teenage girl were also injured in the attack.
The police have since reported that an ongoing internal gang feud between the Tesha Miller and the Andre ‘Blackman’ Bryan factions of the notorious Spanish Town-based Klansman Gang was at the centre of the attack.
Police alleged Campbell had threatened the victims of Sunday’s murder in March Pen, St Catherine, to prevent them from pressing charges of incest against him.
He was wanted by the police following an allegation of sexual assault committed against his female relative who is a minor.
The victims of Sunday’s gruesome act are all related to the sexual assault victim.
Yesterday Commissioner of Police Dr Carl Williams hailed Bishop Edwards for his sound actions in handing over Campbell. more
