KINGSTON, Jamaica—Two men were shot and killed by unknown assailants in separate incidents Thursday in the western section of the island.
Dead are 25-year-old Junior Salmon of Negril in Westmoreland and 28-year-old James Sorrell of Falmouth, Trelawny.
Reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE are that Salmon was at home about 11:00 am when he was approached by two men.
It is said that a dispute developed between Salmon and the men who then pulled firearms. Salmon reportedly ran but was chased by the men who shot him several times all over his body. The men escaped in a waiting motor vehicle.
Meanwhile, reports are that about 5:30 pm Sorrell was among a group of friends drinking at an establishment when a lone gunman approached him from behind and opened fire hitting him in the head.
He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
