KINGSTON, Jamaica – Olympic and World 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce finished a disappointing eighth over the distance at the Rome Diamond League in 11:31 seconds on Thursday.

American Tori Bowie won in 11.05 seconds ahead of Jamaicans Kerron Stewart and Simone Facey in 11.08 and 11.13 seconds respectively.
Bowie is coming off a win in the 200 metres in the Eugene Diamond last week where Fraser Pryce also finished eighth.
Earlier on the men’s side, Jamaica’s World Relay 100m gold medallist Julian Forte and compatriot Rasheed Dwyer finished fourth (20.49) and fifth(20.51) respectively in the 200m.
Justin Gatlin continued his fine run in the 100 metres this season taking the Rome edition of the Diamond League circuit in 9.91 seconds.
Jamaica’s World Relay 100m gold medallist Nester Carter (10.02) and compatriot Kemar Bailey-Cole (10.26) finished second and eighth respectively. Great Britain’s Adam Gemili was third in 10.07 seconds. Gatlin leads the Diamond standing on eight points....
