FOUR police officers were on Wednesday offered bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court after being charged with murder over the shooting death of a pastor in 2010.
Special Constable Dian Thompson and constables Zabdiel Dewar, Roan Dennis and Alecia Jones were each offered bail in the sum of $500,000 following applications before Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey.
The four are charged with the murder of Pastor Trevor Edwards, who was shot dead while travelling in an illegal route taxi along Alexander Road, off Maxfield Avenue in Kingston. Edwards was shot after the police pursued the vehicle which was believed to have been stolen. Read more:
