Six-Y-O Wins Spelling Bee in JAMAICA

LINSTEAD, St Catherine:

IT WAS a proud moment for six-year-old Rajae Watson of Gentles Kinder Campus in Rosemount when he copped the Kiwanis Club of Linstead 2013 Spelling Bee championship.

Rajae, sponsored by Discovery Travel, pocketed the Asly Gayle Trophy.

Six-year-old Breanna Nelson of Mount Rosser Primary School, who was sponsored by JTA Credit Union, finished second, while Davinia Andrade of Gentles Kinder Campus, sponsored by Kingston Bookshop was the third-placewinner.

Twenty-six students from basic schools in Ewarton, Bog Walk and Linstead participated in the contest which was held at the Linstead Methodist Church Hall recently. READ More...
