Speaking to reporters and editors yesterday at the Jamaica Observer Monday Exchange, Shaggy said he wants Jamaicans to realise that this worthy cause is for the Bustamante Hospital for Children (BHC) and “one ticket equals one life”.
He said the first day tickets went on sale online, US$17,000 was made and currently the platinum tickets, which are priced at $25,000 for early bird, and $30,000 for regular, are almost sold out.
“People see the cause and the tickets are going very well. Our gold tickets are going well too, and in this last coming week we will see our silver tickets going. Once people realise that the others are gone, they will get it. It is the cause. We try to solve a problem and not only are we celebrating trying to fix a hospital, we're celebrating our culture,” he shared. more
