President of the IAAF, Lamine Diack, has added his voice to what has been described as a ridiculous campaign against Jamaica and Kenya.
Diack, speaking to journalists ahead of last night's IAAF Gala and Awards ceremony at the Salle des Etoiles here, insisted that the heavy-handed approach and focus by WADA on Jamaica was unwarranted and believes it to be part of a larger attack on the sport of track and field.

Obama Announces Fix for 'Fumbled' Health Care Implementation.....John King: For Obama, a bad turn or a tipping point? (VIDEO)

Washington (CNN) -- With his presidency at a crossroads, President Barack Obama delivered his health care "fix it" message with a healthy dose of reflection and contrition: "I think I said early on when I was running, I am not a perfect man and I will not be a perfect president."
At the moment, the challenge is to get back to being a productive president, and those who see a difficult path ahead include veteran Democrats the President counts among his most trusted friends and allies. "Can Obama come back?" a veteran Democratic strategist asked. "Yes. But like Carter and (George W.) Bush, his downfall is his handling of the job."This party sage framed the stakes this way:
"The next few months will tell us whether he will be remembered in the pantheon of successful/consequential presidents in the last 60 years or whether he will be a flawed president whose skills did not match the times." read more

IN JAMAICA: 5 JLP senators to resign....... Holness expected to make statement on Senate issue today.

The five senators who are understood to have agreed to hand in their resignations are Robert Montague, Tom Tavares-Finson, Alexander Williams, Kavan Gayle, and Kamina Johnson Smith.
Senator Marlene Malahoo-Forte was scheduled to meet Holness at his office last night, and there was some hope that she would share the view of the majority and resign. But there was nothing to indicate that she would.
However, the focus will be on the two most prominent Opposition senators who seem determined not to give up their seats and to challenge any attempt by the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) leader to unseat them. They are Leader of Opposition Business Arthur Williams and former shadow cabinet spokesman Dr Christopher Tufton....
Senator Williams told the Jamaica Observer last night that he plans to attend the Senate tomorrow and participate in the proceedings as Leader of Opposition Business. Read more:
