Sarah Palin Comments On Chris Christie's 'Extreme' Physical Appearance, 'Liberal' Pope Francis

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's physical appearance is an issue only because it's "extreme."
In an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Palin discussed her experience with sexism, saying former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has experienced the same. Palin said Clinton "was mistreated when it came to appearances," dealing with "petty, superficial things that men don't ever seem to hear much about, but a woman candidate will."
When Tapper pointed out that Christie's appearance is regularly scrutinized, Palin argued he's a special case. "[I]t's been extreme, so it's hard for some people not to comment on it," Palin said.
Palin also discussed Pope Francis in her interview with Tapper, voicing concern over his more "liberal" statements. read more

Ted Cruz's Father: Black People ‘Uninformed' And ‘Deceived'

Evangelical pastor Rafael Cruz, father of tea party star Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), called black and Hispanic voters “uninformed” and “deceived" during a speech to conservative activists in February.

After attending a panel on minority outreach at the FreedomWorks grassroots summit, Cruz, a Cuban-American, born-again Christian, spoke at the conference. He noted that a previous speaker "mentioned something about Hispanics being uninformed or deceived."
"Well, the same thing is true of the black population,” Cruz said.
Cruz also suggested how blacks and Hispanics should vote. “As a matter of fact, if we could communicate the truth, not only to the Hispanics but to the black population, all blacks should be Republican," he said.
“Highly religious, strongly pro-family, strongly pro-life” values and high military enrollment rates align Hispanics’ principles with the Republican Party’s, said Cruz. read more

Craig CobbDuring an appearance on The Trisha Goddard Show, Cobb was given the results of a DNA Diagnostics test and found out he is 14 percent Sub-Saharan African, and it was all caught on camera.

President Elizabeth Warren? Wall Street Bankers Would Be Scared.

Elizabeth WarrenNEW YORK — There are three words that strike terror in the hearts of Wall Street bankers and corporate executives across the land: President Elizabeth Warren.
The anxiety over Warren grew Monday after a magazine report suggested the bank-bashing Democratic senator from Massachusetts could mount a presidential bid in 2016 and would not necessarily defer to Hillary Clinton — who is viewed as far more business-friendly — for the party’s nomination.

Jamaica doping scandals tip of iceberg, Dr Paul Wright tells BBC

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Dr Paul Wright, one of Jamaica's most senior drug testers, told the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that the island's anti-doping regime has been woefully short of the international standards required.
Dr. Paul Wright
Dr Wright in an interview published Monday said that the country's recent rash of failed tests might be the "tip of an iceberg". According to the BBC Dr Wright said that the sudden surge of Jamaican athletes failing tests at the country's national trials in June had left him fearing the worst.
His comments come a week after the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) visited Jamaica to investigate claims that the country's athletes were not being tested rigorously enough. Read more:

Obama's Socialist Plot To Ruin America Sends Stocks Soaring.....In fact, the S&P 500 is up 108 percent since the day Obama took office on Jan. 20, 2009

Contrary to what Mitt Romney and many on Wall Street predicted, the stock market is booming in President Obama's second term.
obama stocksThe Standard & Poor's 500-stock index, the broadest measure of the U.S. stock market, is up 24 percent so far this year, Bloomberg pointed out on Monday. If the market keeps this up, it will be the best performance in the first year of a president's second term since 1997, the year after President Clinton's re-election, when the S&P rose 31 percent. The only other second-term gain that tops it is 1985, when the market celebrated President Reagan's re-election with a 26-percent rally.
In fact, the S&P 500 is up 108 percent since the day Obama took office on Jan. 20, 2009, making him only the fifth president since the Great Depression to enjoy a stock-market doubling. Of that small group of lucky presidents, Obama has the best average yearly percentage return, according to the New York Times' Floyd Norris. read more

The Jamaicans finished the tournament with a bang, beating South Africa 44-17 in the play-off.
It was a one place improvement on last year's fourth placing for the Sunshine Girls, who lost to South Africa in last year's play-off.
Shooter Jhaniele Fowler, who was named Player of the Match, had mixed feelings about the final result.
"It feels good, but it would have felt better if that was our semi-final performance. But it still feels real good," she said.
"We wanted to end it on a high note because we didn't make the finals, but we wanted to go out with a bang. I'm really happy my team showed up and showed up real good." read more

Freddie McGregor calls for more recognition...... "Even after 50 years of musical contributions to my country, I am still not being fully recognised."

VETERAN reggae act Freddie McGregor does not feel he has been given his due for his contribution to Jamaica's music.
His comments come as he celebrates 50 years in the local music fraternity. "Even after 50 years of musical contributions to my country, I am still not being fully recognised. I can't help but to wonder what is the criteria to be honoured as too often talents are killed because of friendship and payola," he told Sunday Observer.

McGregor, who received an Order of Distinction (OD) from the Jamaican Government in 2003 for his contribution to the music industry, said veterans including Ken Boothe and John Holt are among several veterans not given enough credit locally. "If I was to be given Jamaica's highest honours, I would ask that it be given to a John Holt or Ken Boothe as they have been paving the way years before me," he said.
Both Holt and Boothe received ODs in 2004 and 2003, respectively. Read more:

According to local reports, the woman, who has not been identified, was at a cemetery in Sao Paulo's Ferraz de Vasconcelos when she heard some odd noises and saw some dirt moving near a grave. That's when she spotted a man, buried alive, trying to pull himself from the ground.
"I was terrified to see a man who I thought was dead, trying to get out of the grave," the woman recalled later, according to local reports. read more

Two years of hell in a Barbados prison.... ‘Because I was Jamaican they treated me like a dog’

A Jamaican man, who claims he was locked up in the maximum security section of Her Majesty’s Prison in Barbados for two years without being brought before a court, says he is suing that state for false imprisonment, wrongful arrest and pain and suffering.
Fifty-year-old Jahnoy Cassells said the xenophobia of an immigration officer resulted in him being arrested and thrown into prison despite committing no crime or breaching any immigration law. Cassells said he was living in Guyana and travelled to Barbados at the invitation of the Barbadian parents of his girlfriend, who was born in Guyana. “I got no hassle at the airport and was in Barbados for a couple weeks before I decided to access a work permit so I could organise a reggae concert featuring Sugar Minott, who fathered four children with my sister,” Cassells told the Jamaica Observer. Read more:
