In London, the quartet of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake, and Bolt combined for the first sub-37-second clocking, 36.84 seconds, to erase the 37.04 mark Carter, Frater, Bolt and Asafa Powell set at the Berlin World Championships in 2009. Asked if the Jamaican team, without Frater and Blake, can lower the record, Bolt replied: "I can't answer that. I will always do my part."
He added: "As long as everybody does their part, we have some good athletes, some good competitors, so hopefully we can get the baton around, get it around quickly, and hopefully it will work out, but it's going to be hard because we kind of put the record at a certain level." Read more:

Like any other dance, the now notorious booty shake has evolved. One new trend we have noticed in particular is a move we have dubbed #twogging, which is the act of twerking on or around your dog (or anyone else’s dog, for that matter).

In the above video we have compiled several examples of this new trend. If, after watching the video, you feel compelled to try it out yourself, we encourage you practice safe #twogging by only preforming for canines you have a previous relationship with and are sure will not be startled into aggression by having an ass shaken in their face.

WATCH: Scientists Unlock Secrets Of Usain Bolt's Speed .....Usain Bolt's Speed Comes Despite Serious Aerodynamic Drag, Physicists Say (VIDEO)

usain bolt speed
Jamaica's Usain Bolt wins the men's 100m final race of the 2009 IAAF Athletics World Championships on August 16, 2009 in Berlin, setting a new world record of 9.58 seconds.
What explains Usain Bolt's speed? Track fans have been debating that question for years, and now a team of physicists from the National University of Mexico in Mexico City have created a mathematical model that helps explain how the world's fastest man is able to bolt 100 meters in well under 9.6 seconds.
"As far as our study can reveal, he seems to be able to develop more power than other runners," study co-author Dr. Jorge Hernandez, a professor of biophysics at the university, told The Huffington Post in an email. "A way of doing it is that he finds a way to reduce the area (cross section, as we call it) he presents to the air. Maybe adopting a running position that reduces this area, but that wouldn't reduce his performance/ability to deploy the power he actually does." Read More...

Tawana Brawley Rape Hoax Leads To Defamation Damage Payout 26 Years Later

Tawana Brawley hoax
Tawana Brawley, who fabricated
a sensational rape story in 1987,
may be forced to finally pay damages
to one of the men falsely accused.
The nation was stunned in 1987 by an African-American teenager's accusation that she had been brutally gang raped by a group of white men, including a local prosecutor and a local police officer. Those accusations turned out to be an elaborate hoax -- and decades later, one of the men wrongfully accused in the fabricated horrific crime is finally receiving reparations payments.
Eleven years after Tawana Brawley's sensational story was disproved, former prosecutor Steven Pagones successfully sued Brawley, her attorneys and Rev. Al Sharpton -- who had gotten involved with the case -- for slander, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Although the others paid up, for years Brawley refused to pay the $185,000 in damages, worth closer to $400,000 with interest.
Brawley now works in Richmond, Va. as a nurse at the The Laurels of Bon Air nursing home, under a different name, Tawana V. Gutierrez, according to the Journal. A court has ordered Brawley's employer to garnish her wages in order to begin paying Pagones.
So far, Pagones has received around $3,700, the Journal reports. Read More...
