A 16-year-old boy is facing a murder charge after a family dispute, reportedly over $35, turned deadly this morning in the community of Cemetery Lane near Folly in Port Antonio, Portland.
Thirty-four year-old George Foreman, a car-wash operator, was stabbed to death alleged by the youth, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor. According to the Port Antonio police, on Tuesday, Foreman was involved in an argument with one of his brothers law over $35 but other family members and neighbours intervened and the dispute was laid to rest.
However, the police say that the youngster fueled an argument early this morning and reportedly pulled a knife and chased Foreman, who fell. It is alleged that while on the ground, the teen started stabbing his brother-in-law all over the body, despite pleas and shouts from residents for him to stop. It reportedly took three men to restrain the teen. Read More...

USAIN BOLT says It's a Hard task Sprint relay world record difficult without Blake, Frater..... Read more by clicking below www.RulaBrownNetwork.com
MOSCOW, Russia — Usain Bolt believes it's going to be hard to break the men's 4x100m relay record achieved at last year's London Olympic Games.
Usain Bolt (left) and Kemar Bailey-Cole at a training session in Moscow yesterday. |
In London, the quartet of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake, and Bolt combined for the first sub-37-second clocking, 36.84 seconds, to erase the 37.04 mark Carter, Frater, Bolt and Asafa Powell set at the Berlin World Championships in 2009. Asked if the Jamaican team, without Frater and Blake, can lower the record, Bolt replied: "I can't answer that. I will always do my part."
He added: "As long as everybody does their part, we have some good athletes, some good competitors, so hopefully we can get the baton around, get it around quickly, and hopefully it will work out, but it's going to be hard because we kind of put the record at a certain level." Read more:

Obama Protesters Sing 'Bye Bye Black Sheep,' Rail Against 'Half-White Muslim' In Arizona
A raucous crowd of supporters and protesters from both ends of the political spectrum showed up outside President Barack Obama's appearance in Phoenix, Ariz. on Tuesday, with some of his detractors turning to racially charged attacks to express their opposition.
From the Arizona Republic:
Obama foes at one point sang, "Bye Bye Black Sheep," a derogatory reference to the president's skin color, while protesters like Deanne Bartram raised a sign saying, "Impeach the Half-White Muslim!"
The Republic reported that hundreds of people gathered outside Desert Vista High School as Obama unveiled a plan to overhaul the nation's mortgage finance system. Some protesters came from Obama's left, urging him to reject the Keystone XL oil pipeline and take other actions on climate change. But a prevailing theme among many in the protest appeared to be issues of race. Some even suggested that Obama himself was to blame for racial tensions. Read More...

#Twogging Will Be The Next Internet Craze (VIDEO)
Twerking has been bouncing across the Internet, inspiring the likes of Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and various animals.
Like any other dance, the now notorious booty shake has evolved. One new trend we have noticed in particular is a move we have dubbed #twogging, which is the act of twerking on or around your dog (or anyone else’s dog, for that matter).
In the above video we have compiled several examples of this new trend. If, after watching the video, you feel compelled to try it out yourself, we encourage you practice safe #twogging by only preforming for canines you have a previous relationship with and are sure will not be startled into aggression by having an ass shaken in their face.
WATCH: Scientists Unlock Secrets Of Usain Bolt's Speed .....Usain Bolt's Speed Comes Despite Serious Aerodynamic Drag, Physicists Say (VIDEO)
What explains Usain Bolt's speed? Track fans have been debating that question for years, and now a team of physicists from the National University of Mexico in Mexico City have created a mathematical model that helps explain how the world's fastest man is able to bolt 100 meters in well under 9.6 seconds.
"As far as our study can reveal, he seems to be able to develop more power than other runners," study co-author Dr. Jorge Hernandez, a professor of biophysics at the university, told The Huffington Post in an email. "A way of doing it is that he finds a way to reduce the area (cross section, as we call it) he presents to the air. Maybe adopting a running position that reduces this area, but that wouldn't reduce his performance/ability to deploy the power he actually does." Read More...

Tawana Brawley Rape Hoax Leads To Defamation Damage Payout 26 Years Later
Tawana Brawley, who fabricated a sensational rape story in 1987, may be forced to finally pay damages to one of the men falsely accused. |
The nation was stunned in 1987 by an African-American teenager's accusation that she had been brutally gang raped by a group of white men, including a local prosecutor and a local police officer. Those accusations turned out to be an elaborate hoax -- and decades later, one of the men wrongfully accused in the fabricated horrific crime is finally receiving reparations payments.
Eleven years after Tawana Brawley's sensational story was disproved, former prosecutor Steven Pagones successfully sued Brawley, her attorneys and Rev. Al Sharpton -- who had gotten involved with the case -- for slander, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Although the others paid up, for years Brawley refused to pay the $185,000 in damages, worth closer to $400,000 with interest.
Brawley now works in Richmond, Va. as a nurse at the The Laurels of Bon Air nursing home, under a different name, Tawana V. Gutierrez, according to the Journal. A court has ordered Brawley's employer to garnish her wages in order to begin paying Pagones.
So far, Pagones has received around $3,700, the Journal reports. Read More...

IN JAMAICA: Ananda Dean's loss still hurts five years later Mother, father of 11-year-old under the emotional gun
ANANDA DEAN ... raped and killed in incident that shocked the nation. |
In October 2008 the nation was rocked by news of the discovery of the decomposing remains of an 11-year-old girl who was found dumped in bushes in Cypress Hill in the community of Belvedere, St Andrew.
DNA tests and identification by relatives revealed that the body was that of Ananda Dean. The child had gone missing after she left the Swallowfield All Age School on Whitehall Avenue after the closing school bell rang.
But that was almost five years ago. And for the little girl's parents they are finding it hard to move on from that point. "Five years have passed but the pain has not eased. I have not gotten any closure. Each passing day you wonder what she would look like. However I am comforted by the fact that it was not her fault and she must be in heaven," Richard Dean, Ananda's father, told the Jamaica Observer. Read more:
IN JAMAICA: HELLO...! They Are Bugging Phones ... But Won't Tell!
Ellington |
State agencies in Jamaica are listening to private phone calls but nobody will say who are the targets or how often calls are intercepted.
The deafening silence comes at a time when the Barack Obama administration in the United States (US) has admitted that it can read and store the phone records of millions of Americans.
Last Wednesday, the Obama administration made public a previously top-secret order that directed the telecommunications company Verizon to hand over an immense number of Americans' phone records.
In the United Kingdom, it also emerged last week that some of the world's leading telecoms firms, including BT and Vodafone, are secretly collaborating with Britain's spy agency and passing on details of their customers' phone calls, email messages and Facebook entries. Read More...

Another victim, a 12-year-old girl, was treated at hospital and released.
Less than 24 hours after that shooting, Anderson was headed to the morgue for another look at the lifeless body of her daughter, the Clan Carthy Primary student who was headed to grade six with big plans for her future.
"No care how you are sad, Dana always made you laugh," said Anderson, with the only hint of a smile for the entire time she spoke with our news team.

EDITORIAL : The world will be watching Jamaica’s ambassadors in Moscow
FORMER Trinidadian sprinter and Olympic medallist Mr Ato Boldon is correct. There won’t be the usual “anticipation and hype” entering next week’s IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Russia.
A large part of the reason is the recent rash of adverse drug test results for leading athletes, including three Jamaican sprint stars, Mrs Veronica Campbell Brown, Miss Sherone Simpson and Mr Asafa Powell, as well as the leading American sprinter Mr Tyson Gay.
It doesn’t matter that in the case of the Jamaicans the banned substances apparently entered the body via supplements and that they themselves have denied “knowingly” doing anything wrong. Seemingly, it also doesn’t matter that some of these offences are likely to be deemed “minor” when final investigations are done. Read more:

Never Forget: Trayvon’s Hoodie May Be Displayed In African American History Museum (VIDEO of Trayvon minutes before he was killed)
Lonnie Bunch, the director of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, has expressing interest in procuring the hoodie worn by 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012, when he was profiled, followed and ultimately shot through the heart by killer George Zimmerman, reports the Washington Post.
“It became the symbolic way to talk the Trayvon Martin case. It’s rare that you get one artifact that really becomes the symbol,” Bunch said. “Because it’s such a symbol, it would allow you to talk about race in the age of Obama.”
MSNBC’s PoliticsNation host Rev. Al Sharpton, who is largely responsible for catapulting the case to national prominence, said that he “would like to see it preserved” because it is the “first civil rights flash point” of the 21st century.
“The hoodie now represents an image of an urban street kid that either embraces or engages in street thug life,” he said. “I think it’s unfair.” Read More...

According to Crawford, research done by UNESCO has revealed findings that the craft industry is the best way that persons from lower-incomebrackets of society can benefit from tourism. Read More...

JAMAICA Emancipendence : 175 years after 'full free'.......
According to the popular view, emancipation from slavery in Jamaica took place on August 1, 1834, which was 179 years ago today. But there was an apprenticeship period for four years. So "full free" as it was called took place on August 1, 1838, which is 175 years ago today.
What we have in Jamaica is an "Emancipendence" celebration which covers both our emancipation on August 1 and our political independence on August 6. This is similar to the Jews whose Passover is about liberation form slavery and political independence. It seems that some people would like to bring back slavery. Today, the euphemism "human trafficking" is used, but it is nothing more than slavery, albeit in modern times. Many times when the list of missing persons is read on radio or TV some wonder if the missing persons have been enslaved.
This is a greater reason to celebrate the anniversary of our emancipation. Not only should we celebrate, but we should also be taking the steps necessary to protect our emancipation just as we should protect Jamaica's political independence.
Jamaica spent a lot of money last year for our 50th anniversary celebration of political independence. In these hard times we could not replicate that with an equally fantastic celebration of our 175th anniversary of 'full free'. But we should still be mindful of the gains made by our national heroes and others. Read more:
3 Nutrients To Help You Sleep Better
I'm not sure exactly when it happened, but the U.S. seems to have become a nation obsessed with pills. If something doesn't work right, no worries, there's a pill for that.
So when we have trouble sleeping, naturally, we go see the doctor for a prescription. Who cares that we might try to sleepwalk our way behind the wheel of a car? At least we're sleeping, right? Wrong!
If you ask me, prescriptions, especially those with severe and dangerous side effects, should always be a last resort.
There could be many reasons for not sleeping well, and stress often plays a role, but quite a few studies have shown that getting the right nutrients can help you get a good night's rest. Why not try eating right, before popping an Ambien?
Here's a look at three common sleep problems that have been linked to vitamin or mineral deficiencies:
Trouble getting to sleep: Magnesium plays a key role in the bodily function that regulates sleep. Insomnia is one of the symptoms of magnesium deficiency, and in fact, a 2006 analysis in the journal Medical Hypothesis suggests that such a deficiency may even be the cause of most major depression and mental health problems.
